What this is
A test that compares your views with the candidates’ positions
Affinité politique asks you about the issues at the centre of public debate in France ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Your answers are compared with the position that each of the 11 candidates analysed takes on those same questions, which gives a match percentage with each of them.
It is not an opinion poll or an election forecast, and it does not tell you who to vote for. It measures the distance between what you think and what the candidates propose, and shows you where each number comes from so that you can question it.
Where the data comes from
Every position, with its justification
The 506 positions behind the test are based on the candidates’ programmes and public statements, the votes of their party’s group in the National Assembly and the European Parliament and, until a candidate publishes a programme, their party’s 2022 programme. Each one has its justification shown on the candidate’s profile, and those without an explicit document stating them are marked as estimated instead of being presented as if they were certain.
You can review them before answering, topic by topic or candidate by candidate. If you find an error and provide the source, it will be corrected. More details in the methodology.

What the data says
More than 0 tests completed
We publish the aggregated results of those who complete the test: which issues have near-unanimous agreement and which split the group down the middle. Always aggregated, with a minimum of one hundred responses per cell and no individual data.
Who is behind it
A personal, independent project
It is developed and maintained by Fadrique Garcia Font from Spain, as a personal project. There is no party, candidate, foundation or media outlet behind it, and it has no connection with any government or with the French electoral authorities.
For now it has no income at all: there is no advertising, no donations and no sale of reports, and the costs are paid by the author. It does not accept money from parties, foundations, candidates, campaigns or governments. More details under transparency and funding.
No registration or account: your answers are stored with a random identifier and a keyed hash of your IP address, which is deleted after 12 months.
