• Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107 (United States): a content delivery and security network that keeps temporary copies of public pages and receives the email sent to the contact address.
• Sendinblue SAS (Brevo), 9-17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris (France): the service that sends the website’s emails and our replies.
• Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 (Ireland): the Gmail mailbox where we read and answer the email sent to the contact address.

3. Purpose of the website

Affinité politique is an informative and educational website, with no registration, that offers a test to find out how closely your views match the candidates in the 2027 French presidential election (first round on 18 April 2027, second round on 2 May 2027), along with information about their positions and about how the result is calculated. It carries no advertising and does not accept donations.

4. Right of reply

Any person named or referred to on this website has a right of reply (Article 1-1, III of the LCEN). The request must be made within three months of the content being made available to the public. Send it to contact@affinitepolitique.fr, with “Right of reply” in the subject line, stating the page and the passage concerned and including the text of your reply.

The publication director publishes the reply free of charge within three days of receiving it, next to the content it refers to, under the conditions of Article 13 of the French Press Act of 29 July 1881.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the website, including texts, images, graphic design, source code, logos and other elements, is the property of the site owner or is used with due authorisation.

Reproduction, distribution or transformation of this content without express authorisation is prohibited, except for personal and private use.

The test questionnaire (the selection, order and wording of its questions and explanations), the bank of tie-break questions, the texts and analyses, and the database of candidate positions (each position with its justification and source) are the work of the site owner. They are protected by copyright (Article L112-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code, Code de la propriété intellectuelle, CPI). Producing the database has required a substantial investment in finding, cross-checking and verifying programmes, votes and statements, so its content is also protected by the sui generis right of database producers (Articles L341-1 et seq. CPI; Directive 96/9/EC, which Spanish law also transposes).

Extracting or re-using all or a qualitatively or quantitatively substantial part of that content, or repeatedly and systematically extracting insubstantial parts of it (Articles L342-1 and L342-2 CPI), by any means (including automated download or scraping tools), and in particular using it to build other tests, comparison tools or similar services, is prohibited without written permission. Short quotations of individual questions or positions are allowed for comment or analysis, citing the source with a link.

Each edition of the questionnaire and the positions is kept dated and time-stamped as proof of its authorship and date.

The aggregated data and analyses we publish may be freely cited and reproduced provided the source is credited (Affinité politique, with a link to https://affinitepolitique.fr).

The names, trademarks and logos of the political parties and campaigns shown belong to their respective owners and are used for information purposes only.

6. Liability

6.1. About the test results

The test results are for guidance only and are based on each candidate’s documented position. The site owner:

• Does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the results
• Is not responsible for any decisions users make based on those results
• Recommends checking the information against the candidates’ official sources

6.2. About the operation of the site

The site owner does not guarantee that the service will be permanently available and will not be liable for:

• Service interruptions due to maintenance or technical reasons
• Damage caused by viruses or other harmful elements
• Misuse of the platform by users

7. External links

This site may contain links to third-party websites (candidates, political parties, media outlets, etc.). The site owner is not responsible for the content of those external pages.

8. Political neutrality

This website maintains strict political neutrality:

• It does not promote or favour any candidate or political party
• The test questions are worded neutrally
• The calculation algorithms treat all candidates equally
• No money is accepted from candidates, political parties, party foundations or campaigns

9. Terms of use

By using this website, the user agrees to:

• Use the platform lawfully and in good faith
• Not carry out any action that could damage, disable or overload the site
• Not attempt to access restricted areas or tamper with the systems
• Not use the results for defamatory or manipulative purposes

10. Applicable law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law and European Union law, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of the user’s country of residence. If the user acts as a consumer, the courts of their place of residence shall have jurisdiction.
